A riff on a classic whiskey sour brought to you by one of my fall favorites, Sweet Potato Pie.

Every fall season we are bombarded by Pumpkin Spice Everything! The Harvest Sour features similar baking spice notes without being cloyingly sweet. A little Chinese 5 Spice up top gives it the look of a latte but the nose of fennel and black pepper.
HARVEST SOUR
.75 oz Cardamaro
.5 oz Lemon Juice
1 oz Chai Sweet Potato Cordial (1:1:1/2 Chai Simple Syrup, Sweet Potato Purée, Vodka)
Egg White
4 dash Saline (10:1 Water, Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt)
2 dash Regan’s No. 6 Orange Bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin and dry shake (without ice) for 30 seconds. Add ice to the tin and shake for an additional 30 seconds. Double strain into a chilled Coupe glass and garnish with dehydrated citrus and Chinese 5 Spice.
