If you were frolicking the strip in Bay Shore 2013, most likely you’d be eating some Buffalo wings and drinking the local craft beer, frosty & cold from the tap. With the addition of the years, so came the addition of a strong outfit of craft eats, cocktails, and a main drag you could spend the whole day & night enjoying. Main St. respectively.
From lunch at Coastal Kitchen and Daiquiri Bar with their on point Pusser’s Rum Painkillers, to the delicious Crispy Burrata on Tullulah’s exquisite Tapas menu, then on to fresh oysters & CBD Cocktails at Salt & Barrel, this trifecta of progressive fare and forward thinking mixology spots have changed the scene for suburban Long Islanders. They now set their sights on Long Island’s premier cocktail festival, May 19, 2019 at Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall of Wantagh. They will be in a sort of indoor “street fair” of cocktail and spirit exhibitors doing tastings of shaken & stirred drinks, as well as curious tastings of 25+ small batch distilled spirits from Heaven Hill Brands, Rum Fire & Tommyrotter Distillery Bourbon.
Celebrating their third anniversary, the exquisite food & cocktail curators, Salt & Barrel, recently implemented a full CBD cocktail menu. Adding wellness to their already impressive and delicious offerings, they are sure to bring something memorable to their 3rd appearance at the LI Cocktail Festival.
From its long anticipated opening, newcomers “Coastal” is the tropical brainchild of Anthony & Andy Tartaglia. This Caribbean inspired purveyor of TIKI cocktails and inspired eats, comes after the success of their Bay Shore mainstay, Verde Kitchen & Cocktails. Quickly becoming a favorite on the strip with a variety of rums and a craft beer line that a proper LI bar should boast, you might as well put them in your GPS right now.
…and if you haven’t been to Tullulah's, have you even been to Bay Shore? A seasonal menu and delicious, robust and recognizable local flavors. Tullulah’s is a gem which beheld its care and craft through the seasons of Bay Shore’s continued boom into the now and near future, sharing small and large plates alike and cocktails curated by the clever mind of Bert Wiegand. This is their anticipated debut at the 4th annual Long Island Cocktail Festival.
